Black Bullet

Black Bullet is a Japanese light novel series written by Shiden Kanzaki and illustrated by Saki Ukai. The series follows Rentarō Satomi, a civil servant with the “Cursed Children”—those infected with the Gastrea virus which turns them into monsters—in his fight against them.

In the future, mankind is plagued by the emergence of monstrous creatures called “Gastrea” that proved to be immune to all weaponry. To combat them, “Cursed Children”—female children infected with the Gastrea virus that granted them superhuman abilities—were turned into soldiers. They were partnered with male partners called “Promoters”, who acted as their handlers.

One of these Cursed Children is a girl named Enju Aihara, who is partnered with a Promoter named Rentarō Satomi. Together, they work for a private company called “Black Bullet” that specializes in fighting the Gastrea. The series follows their adventures as they battle the Gastrea and uncover the mysteries surrounding them.
