How to make Date A Live Tokisaki Kurumi Cheongsam Cosplay Costume
1. Choose the right fabric. You’ll need a light to mid-weight fabric that drapes well. Something like a cotton-poly blend or a lightweight wool would be ideal. Avoid anything too stiff or heavy, as it won’t look right for the cheongsam silhouette.
2. Cut out your pattern pieces. You’ll need a front and back bodice piece, as well as two skirt panels. If you want, you can also add in a facing for the neckline and armholes.
3. Sew the bodice together at the sides and shoulders. Then, attach the skirt panels to the bodice.
4. Finish the raw edges of the garment with a bias binding or serging.
5. Put on your new cheongsam and admire your handiwork!
