Date A Live IV is the fourth and final season of the Date A Live anime series. The season aired from April 2020 to June 2020, and adapts the light novel series of the same name written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako.
The season follows Shido Itsuka, a high school student who has the ability to seal the powers of Spirits—alien beings who wreak havoc on the world by causing disasters known as spacequakes. Shido must use his powers to date and marry these Spirits in order to prevent them from causing any more damage. However, as he gets closer to them, he discovers that each Spirit has their own problems and secrets that they are dealing with.
The season focuses on the wedding of Shido and Tohka, the Spirit that he has been dating for some time. However, as the wedding day approaches, a new Spirit named Natsumi appears and causes havoc. Shido must now deal with this new Spirit, as well as his own feelings for Tohka, in order to save the day.
