Miss Kobayashi is a young woman who lives alone in an apartment. One day, she comes home from work to find a large dragon in her living room. The dragon introduces herself as Tohru, and says that she has come to be Miss Kobayashi’s maid.
Miss Kobayashi is initially skeptical, but Tohru is able to transform herself into a human form. Although she is not very good at housework, Tohru is very enthusiastic and Miss Kobayashi soon grows to appreciate her.
