Shaman King

Shaman King is an anime series that follows the story of a young shaman named Yoh Asakura who is trying to become the Shaman King, a being who is able to commune with and control spirits. The series was created by Hiroyuki Takei and was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1998 to 2004. The anime adaptation of the series was produced by Xebec and aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from 2001 to 2002. The series has been licensed for release in North America by Viz Media.

In Shaman King, the world is full of spirits, and shamans are the mediums who communicate with them. Shaman King follows the adventures of a young shaman named Yoh Asakura as he strives to become the Shaman King, the one who is able to commune with the Great Spirit and shape the world according to his own will. Along the way, he makes friends and enemies, and learns the truth about his own destiny.
